Hunters Beef Burger is a very popular Street food in Karachi. This Burger unlike other Burgers doesn't have a patty, instead it has shredded Beef or popularly known as Hunters Beef. The Beef is well spiced and has a very Chatpata flavour to it. One of the other main ingredient of this Burger is the sauce. It is a special tangy spicy sauce which goes well with the Hunters Beef. Hanifia Burger in Karachi is known to be the pioneers in creating this unique and delicious Burger. I still remember having these delicious treats from New Town in Karachi.You can foil and refrigerate this Beef for a couple of days. Do try this unique Burger and I am sure you and your family will relish it!
Ingredients
Ingredients for Hunter Beef
- 1.5 kg Beef Use Undercut , Rump or Blade cut Beef
- 2 tbsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
- 2 tbsp Green Chilli Paste
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 1.5 tbsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder Can increase to 1 tbsp if you want it spicier
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Flakes
- Salt According to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
Ingredients for Burger Sauce
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Mustard Paste/Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 cups Water
- Salt According to taste
Salad Dressing for Burger
- Lettuce As required
- Tomato Sliced As required
- Cucumber Sliced As required
Instructions
Instructions for Hunter Beef
- After washing the Beef well, prick it with the help of a fork. Make deep pricks all over the Beef
- Rub the Beef with Ginger Garlic Paste, Green Chilli Paste and Vinegar and let it rest for 15 minutes
- Now mix all the spices and Salt together and rub it all over the Beef
- Pour Oil over the Beef and rub again
- Now cover the Beef and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 6 hours. For best results marinate it overnight
- Now in a Deep dish fry the Beef Roast slightly until it's colour changes to brown
- Now submerge the Beef in Water, cover the dish and let the Beef cook on Medium flame
- Cook the Beef until tender and the water is dried out completely
- Your Hunter's Beef is now ready. You can cover it in foil and refrigerate it for 2-3 days
- When making Burgers you need to shred the Hunters Beef and use the shredded Beef as the Burger filling
- Tip: Fry the shredded Beef in 1-2 tbsp of Oil before assembling it in the Hunters Beef Burger
Instructions for Burger Sauce
- Mix all the Dry ingredients in a pan and whisk to form a smooth mixture
- Now cook it on the stove while mixing continuously on medium flame until the mixture thickens
- The Sauce is ready. Let it cool down and use it to drizzle it on your burger
- If your Sauce is too thick you may add some warm water to get your desired Sauce consistency
Assembly of the Burger
- Grill the Burger buns on a flat pan/tawa with some Oil
- Now lightly spread some of the Burger Sauce on the base of the Burger
- Add some of the shredded Hunters Beef and drizzle some Burger Sauce over it
- Now add a piece of lettuce, tomato and cucumber over the Beef and sauce
- Cover it with the other half of the Bun
- Your Hunters Beef Burgers are ready to be served
- Serve with chips and Burger Sauce
