I call this the Angry Chicken because of its sharp spicy flavours. By looking at the dish and reading the recipe, you may feel that it will be extremely spicy but believe me you will be able to handle the spice.
This dish is actually inspired by the famous Phataka Chicken of Natiagali, I have altered the spices and simplified it so that you may easily make it at home with minimum spices. This Chicken is best for a cold winter night. I have mentioned two options for cooking this Roast Chicken; you may either deep fry it or bake it. Obviously the baked version is more healthier but the flavours are more or less the same for either of the methods.
Enjoy this extremely delicious flavour packed chicken with some hot Rotis and Naans.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Whole Chicken Skinless
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice
  • 6-8 cloves Garlic Finely minced/chopped
  • 4-6 tbsp Red Chilli Flakes You may increase/decrease the quantity depending on your taste
  • 1 tbsp Corriander Powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Red Food Colour
  • Salt According to taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash the Chicken thoroughly and make deep slits on the chicken
  • In a separate bowl add all the spices, lemon juice,red food colour, minced garlic, oil, salt and mix together
  • Now rub this paste all over the chicken well
  • Let the Chicken rest for atleast 2 hours in the refrigerator
  • You may choose to Deep fry the Chicken or Bake it for a healthier option
  • Option1: Deep fry the Chicken for 15 minutes on each side or until well done
  • Option 2: Bake the Chicken in a pre-heated oven (180 degrees) for about 45-60 minutes until well done
  • Your Chicken will have a rich colour when it is cooked
  • You may serve the Chicken with some Raita, Salad and Hot Rotis or Naans
