My husband Brendon Lobo started a Kebab Shop by the name of “Angry Chicken” in Canning Vale-Perth in early 2019. In its true sense that’s where my Desi cuisine journey began. Brendon and I always wanted to introduce Pakistani Desi cuisine on the menu. We wanted to bring the richness, flavour and aroma of Pakistani cuisine to Perth through Angry Chicken.
Around 6 months ago we made a decision together to introduce Pakistani Desi Cuisine. We tried to bring in the same authentic flavours that you would get from the Street food of Karachi. The same aroma, flavour and spice level to give you the ultimate Desi experience. So we introduced the ever so famous Chicken Boti, Beef Bihari Boti, Parathas and the Karachi Style Deghi Biryani.
I manage the Pakistani Desi wing of Angry Chicken from preparation of the spices, recipe management and introducing new dishes. Being a Biyani-holic I like to personally prepare the Biryani for Angry Chicken every weekend, which gives me immense pleasure. Our customers love the Desi cuisine and we have been receiving some roaring responses. Infact our customers have reviewed us that our Paratha Rolls reminds them of the Paratha rolls back in Karachi. Whereas our Goat Biryani has been reviewed by our customers as one of the best Goat Biryanis in Perth.
So watch out Perth, we are coming with some more authentic Desi cuisines to tantalize your taste buds!
