Jalebi is a very popular sweet dish not only in the Sub-Continent but also in some of the Middle Eastern countries . It can be served hot or cold but it is preffered to be served hot. Jalebi has a crispy texture on the outside and chewy on the inside. It is coated with a thick sugar syrup and is quite sticky. In some parts of the Sub continent it is eaten with Milk or Rabri (which is another delicious Desi Dessert made with cream and Milk).Jalebi is found in almost every local streets of Pakistan/India, it is not expensive and people usually buy it in dozens. It is usually eaten as a tea-time snack. This is my son's favourite sweet dish and he loves to eat it when its fresh and warm. My Dad used to buy it for him especially from the streets of Burns Road which is the main Street food spot of Karachi. This is a simple recipe and can be easily made with a few staples.
